A comprehensive study performed by the California Department of Public Health indicated that a 35 year old man who regularly practices a few healthy habits has a life expectancy which will take him to age 67. Another 35 year old man who regularly practices a minimum of six healthy habits can expect to live to be age 78. This means 11 more healthier years. If that doesn't seem like much to you, consider this: with all that modern medicine has to offer, the life expectancy for adults has only increased slightly to more than three years since the beginning of the century. An 11 year increase would result from following these simple stress management tips and tricks.
Stress management takes effort and will not happen all by itself. An individual must plan for and take the appropriate steps to develop an action plan that will help in reducing the amount of stress in one's life. An individual must think about what type of physical exercise would be best for them. Keeping a record of daily exercise can help in maintaining the exercise routine. It can also motivate an individual to keep exercising. You should consider what activities are the most relaxing for you. Keep a written log of the activities that seem to be the most relaxing and then attempt to duplicate these activities on a regular basis. You also may need to re-evaluate the types of food you have been eating and keep a written plan and develop menu that is healthier. Finally, to adequately manage stress, you need to have time, patience and practice. If you can identify your stress triggers, that's excellent, but identification is not the total job.
